Who would have thought this would happen to me...?
I'm still in my 30s, and even in my early 30s?
I first felt something while I was showering,
lying down, putting on my bra, or doing some other ordinary daily routine.
A lump the size of a soybean
was felt on the outside of my right breast.
A few months passed without me thinking much about it
and I felt it growing bigger.
After four or five months? It became the size of a glass bead
but I thought I should get it checked
The hospital in my neighborhood that was known for its good checkups
was over a month behind
so it wasn't easy to schedule an appointment.
After another two or three months,
it became the size of a grape.
I thought it wouldn't work
I made a reservation about 3 weeks later and went
They looked at it with an ultrasound first and found something strange
so they did a mammotome on the same day to do a tissue biopsy.
A needle that removes tissue like an ear piercing gun
is inserted a few times.
It doesn't hurt much because anesthesia is applied,
but it is a bit uncomfortable after inserting a few times.
The tapping sound also plays a part.
Since it is a procedure that involves seeing blood,
they put on a compression bandage in the shape of a sleeveless shirt.
They also give me some medicine
to prevent infection or swelling.
They said they would call me after a week when the results came out,
so I thought it would be fine to just remove it with a mammotome
if it was a small tumor,
so I waited without thinking much.
A week later, after 7 PM, the doctor
called me directly.
They examined both sides,
but the left one was not malignant, but it was a benign tumor,
so it seemed like a more detailed examination was needed,
and he hesitated a little.. and said the right one came out worse.
So if it's bad...? I asked,
He said it's cancer.... hahaha
